Long stopover in Chicago

If you are travelling via Chicago O’Hare International airport and have a long stopover at the airport (either expected and unexpected) we recommend that instead of sipping an overpriced beer at one of airport’s bars you go out and visit the Chicago downtown.

The trip is very easy and you should manage this without knowing the city at all. There is a direct connection to the city center – a subway Blue line. It will take you directly to the Downtown. The roundtrip costs 10$ and it takes 30-40 minutes one way. Subway stations Monroe and Jackson are in the heart of Chicago and very close to it`s greatest attraction i.e. the Cloud Gate a.k.a. the “Bean” in the Millennium Park.

Here are some sneak peeks of what you will see:

So what it’s gonna be – beer at the airport or a Downtown tour? Or maybe both if you have enough time 😉
