I you are still among the lucky ones whose luggage has never got lost by an airline you may be wondering what happens in such case. Obviously the responsible airline will send the luggage to the location specified by you once they find it (if ever). Until then you will have to survive without your belongings, which may be hard if you are far from home and packed all your underwear and cosmetics to the checked-in bag.
Luckily enough most airlines understand that problem and provide you with a basic kit, which can help you to survive the night, until you get your bags back or shops are open.
